The idea here is to create a set of chimes where the viewer can change both the look of the work as well as the sounds the chimes make by sliding weighted sliders up and down.
This is a totally theoretical design: we have yet to work out and test a method of making the chimes adjustable.
In fact, we are looking for help to achieve this, so if you have an idea, let us know.
When the viewer rotates the array, a fixed device will ring the chimes.
The chimes are hung from the top plate and partly contained by the bottom plate so that they can’t swing wildly.
